With the unveiling of the global first new manufacturing platform created by Alibaba, the Rhino Smart Manufacturing, the Alibaba New Manufacturing's "Project One" - the "Rhino Smart Manufacturing Factory," also began its official operation in Hangzhou on the same day.
There is news that the new manufacturing platform "Xunxi" will also go live today (September 16th). "Xunxi" is positioned as a digitalized and intelligent manufacturing platform specially designed to serve small and medium-sized enterprises. Prior to this, "Rhino Smart Manufacturing" operated internally under the name "Xunxi" for three years, keeping it strictly confidential.
Maintaining strict confidentiality before launching new businesses has always been Alibaba's practice. For instance, Taobao was secretly developed for a month in 2003 before going live with the double-spelled domain name taobao.com. DingTalk was secretly developed for a year in 2014 before launching with the domain name dingtalk.com.
