Recently, the UDRP dispute surrounding the domain name Nexim.com was officially adjudicated. Italian connectivity and broadcasting service provider Nexim Italia objected to the domain, but the objection was ultimately rejected by a panel of experts from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and the domain remains with its investor, Adam Maysonet / Insane Entertainment LLC. This investor was represented by renowned intellectual property lawyer John Berryhill.

Nexim Italia, founded in 2018, claimed that its "NEXIM" trademark had high global recognition and alleged that NEXIM.com was maliciously registered with the intention of reselling it to the company. However, during the trial, the panel raised clear questions about the company's evidence.

Italian operator's complaint dismissed, investor successfully retains domain name

According to the case details, Nexim.com was initially registered in 1999, long before the establishment of Nexim Italia. The domain was held by different owners over the years, and only entered the public auction market in 2025. At the time, domain investor Adam Maysonet acquired the domain for $4,911 at a NameJet auction, viewing it as a phonetically clear and brand-potential five-letter .com asset.

The core of the dispute lay in whether Nexim Italia could prove its trademark had widespread recognition across regions and industries, and whether the domain holder acted maliciously against its brand. The complainant clearly lacked crucial evidence in its submitted materials.

The panel concluded that Nexim Italia failed to provide any substantive material to prove its claimed "global reputation," and ultimately ruled: the complaint was dismissed, and Nexim.com remained under the investor's ownership.
