Recently, according to foreign media reports, a domain name related to food, Bagels.com, was auctioned successfully for $500,000 (approximately 3.6 million RMB). This marks the highest publicly reported domain sale so far this year, surpassing the previous record holder, Peace.com, which sold for $400,000 (approximately 2.88 million RMB).
The domain was exclusively represented by Sedo's senior domain broker, Mark, also known as "Mr. Premium." It is said that the negotiation process took only one and a half months from start to finish.
He said, "Three weeks after discussions with the buyer began, I visited their operational base for face-to-face talks aimed at resolving some issues and facilitating the deal. I also toured their production facilities so they could see other foods and snacks the company currently produces (and taste some delicious dishes fresh off the production line). It was a perfect way to get to know their team and family members better."
