Temu domain name rights protection has won another victory, and the ccTLD disputes in many countries have been settled.

As a cross-border e-commerce platform under Pinduoduo, Temu has set off a low-price e-commerce storm around the world since it entered the international market in 2022. Recently, its rights protection actions around brand domain names have continued to attract attention.

Whaleco Inc., which operates Temu's North American business, recently initiated a unified domain name dispute resolution policy (UDRP) application for multiple country and regional top-level domain names (ccTLDs) through the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

Data shows that in the past two months, Temu.ec (Ecuador) and Temu.md (Moldova) have been ruled to be transferred.

It is worth noting that the cases of Temu.pa (Panama) and Temu.gt (Guatemala) were terminated because the domain names had been actively transferred, showing the flexibility of the rights protection strategy.

Currently, there are more than ten ccTLD domain names such as Temu.me (Montenegro) and Temu.ph (Philippines) in the trial stage. These disputed domain names all directly use the "Temu" brand word and are suspected of trademark infringement. Temu emphasized that brand protection is one of the core strategies for expanding the international market and will continue to safeguard its rights and interests through legal means.
