This list attracted a lot of attention within the industry. However, the average transaction prices for domain extensions in 2023 were not reviewed. This is not because we were unwilling, but rather because such specialized data is typically held by top platforms in the industry. Recently, Escrow.com released exclusive platform data, focusing on the 2023 trends in top-level domain transactions.

The new data covers key aspects such as popular top-level domains (TLDs), average prices, and unique trends observed throughout the year.

1. Key Highlights of 2023:

- Over 8,500 domain transactions facilitated through Escrow.

- Domains valued at over $300 million transacted through Escrow.

- The average domain price was $35,455.

2. Emerging Trends and Popular Top-Level Domains:

- Unsurprisingly, .com TLD continues to dominate, followed by .ai and .io.

- The .ai domain significantly grew by 210% due to the surge in generative AI technology.

- .io domains decreased by 16% compared to 2022, falling to the third position.

- 226 unique TLDs were transacted in 2023, slightly down (-6%) from 2022.

- The longest domain of the year comprised 32 letters.

- The longest TLD with 10 letters includes .associates, .foundation, .properties, and .technology.
