Registered in March 1998, the domain Fools.com was once part of the Vertical Axis investment portfolio, which GoDaddy acquired for as much as $50 million. Despite not being publicly disclosed on NameBio, Rick Schwartz recently shared the news:
"In today's acquisition news, Fools.com has joined my portfolio, sold for $17,250."
"Fools" is an English noun referring to foolish or gullible individuals, often describing those lacking judgment and easily deceived. Although "Fools" is a common English word, the domain was auctioned at a lower price due to its less favorable meaning. This reflects the tendency for domains with less desirable meanings to have lower perceived value in the domain market.
Of course, it remains to be seen whether the domain king Rick Schwartz will profit significantly from Fools.com in the future.
