According to foreign media platforms, HubSpot founder Dharmesh Shah recently announced the acquisition of the domain name Agent.ai, which comes as no surprise as there is speculation that the domain will be used as a repository for future projects related to artificial intelligence.
Interestingly, Mr Shah described the domain acquisition as "the most expensive domain ever for a completely free newsletter with no monetisation plans".

While this statement in itself does not address the acquisition cost of the domain name, we can consider Dharmesh Shah's reputation as a competitive spender of high quality domain names, some of which end up reselling for eight-figure flips.
Additionally, the domain name Agents.ai reportedly sold for $125,000 in July. In October, you.ai reportedly sold for $700,000 via Sedo, a deal that surpassed NameBio's official all-star list of .AI domains.
In an interview with the BBC, Matt Barrie noted that a domain speculator bought an AI domain for $300,000 and sold it for $1.5 million just a few months later.
Assuming that the latter does not represent the sale of Agent.ai, we can presume that Dharmesh Shah paid an amount in the seven-figure range.
Again, this could be a reference to the value of the "airspace name" with a placeholder, rather than the value of the developed business. For this, we will have to wait for the final development of Agent.ai, which hopefully won't be too far away.
