Four-letter domain names are highly sought after due to their simplicity and memorability, making them exceptionally scarce. When businesses utilize them, they enhance brand recognizability.
In August of this year, DomainGang reported that Door.com was likely acquired at a high price by Latch, Inc., the parent company operating Latch.com. Theo noticed this through a trademark filing in the US Patent and Trademark Office. In fact, as per an article in The Verge, the domain has already been purchased, and Latch has rebranded itself as Door.com.

Four-letter domain names are exceptionally rare due to their simplicity and memorability, enhancing brand recognizability when used by businesses. Four-letter word domains are even rarer and increasingly valuable in the online world, holding significant potential for appreciation. Such domain names are typically highly sought after across various industries and can serve as valuable assets for companies. The first mover in acquiring these domains can secure a valuable traffic gateway.
