This report will cover all the noteworthy deals in the domain market since September 25th. Among the notable transactions are four six-figure deals that mark a strong recovery in the domain name market in the post-outbreak era. These deals include not only the highest publicly reported country code top-level domain (ccTLD) sales so far this year, but also the second-largest non-.com generic top-level domain (gTLD) transaction.
The most notable of these sales was the Australian ccTLD MortgageBroker.com.au, a deal that sold for $295,000, making it the leader of the full-extension list in this report. The domain was acquired in a private transaction by the owners of Money.com.au, which has now gone live with a new website. Given the current cost pressures in the mortgage market, this category-defining domain name seemed like a particular fit for the buyer. The $295,000 price tag also appears to be good value for a domain that so accurately describes the industry.
A close second was Trill.com, sold for $289,000 by a combination of brokers from Saw.com and GoDaddy. And in third place was a non-.com gTLD deal, with Andy Media selling Casino.bet for $200,000 via Atom.com, proving once again the potential of non-traditional domains in the market.
The Rise of .AI Domains
Another trend that can't be ignored over the past three weeks is the strong performance of .AI domains. AI domains took up seven spots on the latest charts, showing the huge demand for AI-related domains. Among them, Travel.ai, ranked #6, sold for $90,000 via Namecheap, while Convergence.ai, ranked #7, sold for $80,000. These transactions are further evidence of the dominance of .AI domain names in the ccTLD market and this trend is expected to continue on the rise.
In total, ccTLDs held 11 seats in this report, demonstrating the widespread adoption and demand for ccTLDs in the global market.
