When you see the domain name “GoDiddy.com” for the first time, you may be surprised to think that it is the well-known domain name trading platform “GoDaddy.com”. However, upon closer comparison, you will find a subtle difference between them - the “a” and “i” in the middle are different. What is DID?
A Decentralized Identifier (DID) is a new type of identifier that is persistent, cryptographically verifiable, and decentralized, i.e., independent of any central authority or intermediary. This identifier helps in establishing trusted connections and communications in digital relationships.
The company, which operates under the GoDiddy.com domain, was reportedly acquired in early 2019 and launched the service in late 2022.

However, the name “GoDiddy” is too similar to the world's largest domain name registrar “GoDaddy”. While this is not a spelling mistake, the similarity causes Google searches to suggest results related to the major domain name registrar.
