In recent months, domain name trading prices have remained within the mid to low price range, but now more high-value sales are attracting attention. Over the past two weeks, we witnessed Bagels.com being sold for $500,000 and the three-letter domain FSL.com fetching $300,000. Despite the thriving .ai domain market, .com still reigns supreme. Simultaneously, .ai domains continue to generate buzz, with six new names added to the latest honor roll.
Non-.com gTLDs (generic top-level domains) currently hold only two positions, with one of them representing the second-highest sales volume in this category so far this year. Swetha.xyz's successful sale of Eclipse.xyz for $90,000 through the Efty.com platform stands out as a highlight in this domain space. This transaction coincided with the much-discussed rare solar eclipse scheduled for April 8th in large parts of the United States, further emphasizing its significance. Meanwhile, another set of domains was sold successfully through the Synergy.media platform for $20,000.
With a total of 20 positions, .com domains still dominate the leaderboard, occupying 11 spots. Here is the performance of all leaders in the past two weeks, as of Sunday, March 17, 2024:
