According to foreign media reports, the sale of Scaffolding.com was announced yesterday. The domain name was sold for $46,666, making it the largest domain name publicly reported on a domain trading platform this week.
It is worth noting that the domain is already being used by a buyer.

Scaffolding.com was acquired by a company called Coronet Scaffold. Interestingly, this company uses Scaffold-Equipment.com for its website. This is different from the corporate domain name the company uses for email - Coronet-Scaffold.com. all of these domains now forward to Scaffold-Equipment.com.

When many people lived in Manhattan - and to this day - scaffolding was a ubiquitous part of the urban environment. It was almost everywhere. Even though I pass under scaffolding almost every day, I couldn't tell you the name of any company that specialises in this equipment.
For this company, acquiring the category-defining .com domain for less than $50,000 was a huge success.
