As 2023 draws to a close, Western countries are immersed in the bustling preparations for the upcoming festive season, while domain trading has recently shown stable performance, occasionally witnessing transactions of lower value. It has been proven that year-end transactions present opportunities for valuable acquisitions.
DN Magazine regularly updates the domain market's transaction rankings. In the latest edition of the sales chart, five new domains have successfully entered the rankings, with two surpassing six figures in sales, securing positions in the top half of the list. For instance, Brannans.com achieved a successful transaction of Purge.com, ranking 22nd, with a deal valued at $250,000. Additionally, James Booth from DomainBooth.com collaborated with Squadhelp to complete the transaction for Eleven.io, ranking 42nd, with a sales amount of $121,000. Eleven.io also secured a position in the top ten for ccTLD sales this year.
Furthermore, we observed one of the top ten non-.com gTLD sales reported this year, namely 789.win, ranking 71st.
As of December 17, 2023, here is a summary of the sales rankings for various suffixes in the top 40, considering the exchange rate at that time (current rate: 1 USD ≈ 7.1281 CNY).
From the rankings, it is evident that "you.ai" stands out significantly, securing the 5th position with a remarkable $700,000. Among the top 40 domains, there are three with the .ai suffix, while a dominant 91.2% are .com domains. Only one, "Hero.io," was transacted at $125,000. This indicates that in the domain industry, despite the emergence of .ai as a dark horse, the dominant position still belongs to .com.
