Two new deals in October managed to squeeze into the top 10 domain name charts, Max.com for $1.8 million and Hurt.com for $1.5 million. Max.com is the second largest publicly reported domain name deal of the year so far, behind Help.com, which was sold by Above.com for $3 million in January. deal.Hurt.com, which sold for $1.5 million, tied for third place in the year's top 100 with Michael Castello's sale of Room.com in September.
.com domains took 15 of the 20 spots on the list. Non-.com generic top-level domains (gTLDs) contributed four deals, two of which made the top half of the leading list. That leaves the ccTLDs (country code top-level domains) with just one slot, but they stole the show, with Genie.io selling for a staggering $82,500 at #5 on Efty.com. In addition to topping the latest country code top 20 sales list, Genie.io is now also one of the top 10 ccTLD sales reported so far this year.

Please note that what is listed here are the highest value cases in cash-only transactions reported to us in the past two weeks. The list is intended to serve as a reference tool and is not an exhaustive list of all high-value domain name transactions. Given that many transactions cannot be made public due to buyer, seller or both parties insisting on confidentiality, it would not be feasible to compile such a list.
