Domain name registrar Spaceship recently announced that the number of domain names managed on its platform has surpassed 5 million. This achievement marks significant growth for the company since its founding and places it 14th among global registrars.
According to the latest data from Domain Name Stat, Spaceship's growth rate is particularly impressive—it went from 4 million to 5 million domains in less than two months. Considering the relatively stable growth rate of the overall domain name industry, this achievement demonstrates its rapid expansion in the market.

Spaceship is a subsidiary of Namecheap Group and is its new registration brand, launched to target a wider range of internet entrepreneurs. The two companies share some infrastructure and technology. Namecheap currently manages approximately 26.4 million domain names, ranking second globally; GoDaddy, the world's largest registrar, manages approximately 88.5 million domain names.
Currently, Spaceship ranks 14th among global registrars in terms of domain name management. If its current growth trend continues, the company is expected to enter the top 10 by early 2026.
Spaceship officially entered the market in recent years, focusing on a transparent, simplified registration experience and a unified account system. Its rapid growth reflects the active presence of emerging registration brands in the market and the emerging competitive landscape in the domain name registration industry.
