The dispute over the domain name AndroidEnterprise.com has recently concluded. A World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) arbitration panel has ruled that the domain name should be transferred from the registrant to Google LLC.
According to case documents, AndroidEnterprise.com was registered in 2025 and is owned by Shahid Sheikh/Emitac Enterprise Solutions LLC of India. The domain name previously led to a for-sale page with the phrase "Get This Domain." Case documents show that the registrant offered Google $5 million for the domain name. Google subsequently argued that the registration infringed its trademark rights and filed a formal UDRP (Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy) complaint.

The arbitration panel noted that "Android" is a long-standing and widely used trademark of Google, and "Android Enterprise" is one of Google's official enterprise-focused branding initiatives. The domain name AndroidEnterprise.com is confusingly similar to the aforementioned trademarks, potentially misleading the public into believing it is associated with Google. In the rights and interests section, the panel found that the registrant had failed to demonstrate a legitimate business relationship with the name, nor a legitimate reason for its use. The arbitration decision noted that the domain name was primarily used for sales purposes, with both registration and use clearly motivated by commercial gain.
Furthermore, the registrant's offer of $5 million to Google for the domain name was considered by the panel as significant evidence of "bad faith registration and use." The panel concluded that the registrant attempted to profit from Google's trademark reputation and violated Article 4 of the UDRP.
Ultimately, the panel ordered the transfer of AndroidEnterprise.com to Google.
