MetaPlanet Acquires Bitcoin.jp Domain, Expanding Bitcoin Business in Japan and the US

On September 17th, MetaPlanet (stock code: 3350), a publicly listed Japanese company, announced the establishment of two wholly-owned subsidiaries and the strategic acquisition of the Bitcoin.jp domain to strengthen its Bitcoin business presence.

In Japan, MetaPlanet will establish Bitcoin Japan Co., Ltd. to focus on Bitcoin-related media and events, including the Bitcoin.jp website, the media brand Bitcoin Magazine Japan, and the future Bitcoin Japan Conference.

Notably, .jp is Japan's country code top-level domain (ccTLD), meaning it is naturally well-suited to the Japanese market and will help the company quickly establish local brand recognition, increase user traffic, and enhance its industry influence.

Meanwhile, MetaPlanet established Metaplanet Income Corp. in the United States to expand its Bitcoin-related income-related businesses, including investment and derivatives trading. The company stated that by establishing subsidiaries and acquiring core digital assets, it will integrate existing businesses with future plans, improve operational transparency and profitability, and lay the foundation for strategic expansion.

Industry analysts believe that the acquisition of the Bitcoin.jp domain is a key step for MetaPlanet in establishing its presence in the Japanese and East Asian Bitcoin ecosystem.
