Recently, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Netherlands Financial Information and Investigation Bureau (FIOD) seized multiple domain names related to game piracy, including NSW2U.com, Game-2u.com, BigNGame.com and ps4pkg.com. The domain names involved have been redirected to the official fbi.gov seizure page, indicating that these pirated resource sites have been taken over by law enforcement agencies.

The seizure was based on an order issued by the Federal Court for the Northern District of Georgia, citing Section 2323 of Title 18 of the United States Code, which authorizes the government to confiscate equipment, products or domain names that infringe intellectual property rights. The core target of the operation is NSW2U.com, which has long provided illegal downloads of Nintendo Switch games and has attracted widespread attention for including "pre-release" versions of unreleased games.
NSW2U.com was listed as a "notorious market" by the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) as early as the beginning of 2025, and many international rights organizations have long regarded it as a piracy-stricken area. This seizure not only affects the main domain name NSW2U.com, but also includes its multiple operating "brother sites", all of which have similar pirated game distribution behaviors.
At present, the Whois information of these domain names has been hidden, and all page visits point to the seizure notice held by the government, indicating that they are under formal law enforcement control. This type of domain name seizure method has been widely used in recent years to combat piracy, fraud and illegal content sites. Once the domain name is seized and handed over to US law enforcement agencies, its original holder will not be able to restore access or transactions through conventional means.
