In January 2025, the registrar Hexonet announced that it would close its business by the end of June, and customer accounts and domain names would be migrated to the Moniker platform under Team Internet Group. The migration has now entered the substantive stage.

According to the official announcement, the Hexonet system will be deactivated after the end of June, and only email support will be retained. The service quality and credit limit will be reduced simultaneously. The domain name management function will be temporarily unavailable during the migration, but DNS resolution will remain normal, and new registrations can be made through the CentralNic dealer platform.
After the domain name is migrated, the Moniker pricing strategy will be implemented. The starting price for renewal of .COM is US$16.29 per year, and the price for large households with more than 500 domains is US$13.69; .NET is US$19.89, and .ORG is US$17.29 (Source: DomainNameWire). These prices are much higher than the registrar quotes that many investors are currently accustomed to using.
Users who are unwilling to accept the new price system can actively transfer their domain names to other registrars before the migration is completed.
