1. The story behind the deal
Earlier today, Ariyas, a prominent domain investor, noticed the news about Liner's Series B funding round and speculated whether Ammar Kubba sold Liner.com, a domain name that is highly compatible with the Liner brand. Based on observations, Liner.com is now redirected to a Notion site with the Liner logo, further confirming the possibility of Liner acquiring the domain.
In the afternoon, the former holder of the domain name, Ammar Kubba, was contacted to inquire if he had sold Liner.com. Ammar confirmed the completion of the transaction, but unfortunately he was unable to disclose the exact selling price. The deal was reached through direct negotiations between Ammar and the buyer.
According to DomainTools, prior to the sale, Liner.com was listed for $490,000 through GoDaddy. Although the final sale price was not made public, this price provides a market reference for the value of the domain name.
2. Significance of Brand Upgrade
Acquiring a domain name that matches your brand is not only an important asset investment for your company, but also a key step in your branding strategy. The use of Liner.com not only enhances brand awareness and credibility, but also lays a solid foundation for future market expansion and business growth, and Liner has joined a long list of companies that have upgraded their domain names to enhance their brand image, opening up more possibilities for future growth.
