HostAfrica Announces Acquisition of Web4Africa, Strengthens African Web Hosting Market Leadership Position

HostAfrica (stylized as HOSTAFRICA), Africa's leading provider of cloud infrastructure and web hosting services, today announced that it has acquired Web4Africa, a leading pan-African web hosting company accredited by ICANN.The acquisition will further consolidate HostAfrica's presence in the African marketplace and strengthen its operations in Nigeria and Ghana. Headquartered in Cape Town, South Africa, HostAfrica specializes in providing fast, cloud-based virtual and dedicated servers, web and e-commerce hosting, domain names, backups and reseller programs. Web4Africa, on the other hand, was founded in 2002 and is known for its strong customer base and ICANN-accredited status in Nigeria and Ghana.

Web4Africa currently has over 70% of its customers from Nigeria, which enables HostAfrica to further expand its market share and reach through this acquisition. In addition, Web4Africa's operations in Ghana and its strength in the African country code top-level domains (ccTLDs) will help HostAfrica to offer a wider and stronger range of services.
