A fine three-letter domain name, ipl.com, was recently sold for $265,000 (approximately RMB 1.92 million) on a domain trading platform.

Registered in January 1997, ipl.com was once owned by Information Processing Limited of Bath, UK.

In April 2016, IPL was acquired by Civica and in January 2017 it changed its name to Civica Digital.
