Domain trading platform Escrow.com sent an email to its customers today announcing a fee change. The fee change will be implemented on Friday, May 31, 2024 . For customers using the API to create transactions, the price change will take effect at a later date.
It looks like fees for lower priced transactions will decrease slightly, but fees for higher priced transactions will increase. The old and new fee schedules have been posted below, but here are two examples of how the fee changes will affect transactions.
5,000 USD Domain Sale:
-Current fee: $162.50 (3.25%)
-New fees: $130 (2.6%)
$100,000 domain name for sale:
-Current cost: $890 (.89%)
-New fees: $1,900 (1.9%)
In addition to the fee change for standard transactions, the change will also affect payment plans and lease transactions facilitated by Escrow.com.
If you'd like to see how the fee change will affect your sales, you can do the math yourself using the fee table below, or plug it into the Escrow.com fee calculator once it's updated.
