Abstract:
In 2023, Stack.ai was sold on Afternic for $258,888. However, it has now been acquired in an expired auction on Whois.ai for $4,449, while it sold for $348,888 on DAN. This sparked curiosity as someone paid $250,000 for the domain only
Remember Stack.ai, which sold for $258,888 last year? Recently, news broke that the domain is about to expire.
In 2023, Stack.ai was sold on Afternic for $258,888. However, it is now being acquired in an expiration auction on Whois.ai for $4,449, while it sold for $348,888 on DAN.
While a look at the domain on Archive.org did not reveal any changes, we now see that it has expired and returned to Whois.ai.
The last bid appeared on Monday, May 27, 2024 at 06:02 and the current price is $5,555.55 USD.
This raises curiosity as someone paid $250,000 for the domain only to have it expire. What exactly will happen? Will someone renew or buy the domain at auction? This is going to be a very interesting scene.
