.tm is the country and regional top-level domain (ccTLD) for Turks and Caicos Islands, known by its full name ".tm". This domain name is often considered to represent a trademark or commerce, and is therefore used in many cases for commercial websites or online stores.
The registry says the suggested retail price is $1,000. The price increase will take effect June 1st.
The registry also eliminated the practice of requiring all registrations to be 10 years old, instead adopting an industry standard of 1 to 10 years.
Today, the cheapest retail price I can find is $1,200 for a 10-year term. With the price increase, the same service could cost closer to $12,000.
