On March 1, humanoid robotics startup Figure announced that it had raised about $675 million in funding from tech giants such as Amazon founder Bezos, Nvidia, OpenAI and Microsoft, which jumped the company's valuation to $2.6 billion.
Figure plans to use the funding to develop large language models for its robots, scale up production, and increase its workforce. The official domain name of humanoid robotics company Figure is Figure.ai.

Figure has entered into an agreement with OpenAI to co-develop an artificial intelligence model for the next generation of humanoid robots. The model will be based on OpenAI's latest GPT technology and will be trained exclusively using robot movement data collected by Figure.
Also, Figure will use Microsoft's Azure cloud service to build the AI infrastructure and store the data.
According to the founder and CEO of Figure, these initiatives are aimed at enhancing the robot's interaction capabilities, enabling it to talk to people, recognize objects and perform complex tasks, further promoting the application and development of humanoid robots in various fields.
