We all know that many two letter .com domain names have been collected by big players. Some people can't afford to buy such precious domain names even if they want to invest. But now there is a new way to invest: multiple people co-own a domain name, also known as IPO (Initial Public Offering). Recently, the two-letter domain name MJ.COM has officially launched its IPO.

If you're interested in the concept of decentralized domain ownership, then today may be for you. Let me make it very clear that this is not investment advice and I am not telling anyone to buy or not to buy. It is for informational purposes only.

I thought it would be fun to fully disclose that I don't own any shares of MJ.com. I may decide to purchase some in the future. If I do, I will update this post with that information.
Initial share offering price $20.00
Number of shares 47,500
Initial Offering Market Capitalization: $950,000
Storage Location GoDaddy Pro (DomainX)
I hope Andrew and everyone involved is involved and successful as I believe the successful product here may lead to more similar deals in the future.
Last but not least, let's hope that investors one day Michael Jordan wants to offer himself the ultimate vanity domain with a big offer.
