Just recently, foreign media reported: it looks like FedEx has acquired a valuable 3-letter .com domain name.Whois records show that FedEx is now the owner of FDX.com. The domain name has been transferred to CSC and the Whois registrant is now listed as FedEx Corporate Services, Inc. and FedEx stock is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol FDX.

Prior to the acquisition, FDX.com was owned by domain investor James Booth, who purchased the asset in November 2022. Last week, James noted that the deal was overseen by Andrew Miller of Hilco Digital:

I asked James if he could share the sale price, but due to a non-disclosure agreement he was unable to do so. Perhaps the sale price will be mentioned in a future SEC filing, although it seems unlikely that the price would be worth mentioning.

At the time of publication, the domain name FDX.com was using FedEx name servers, but the domain name was not resolving to an active website.FDX.com was registered in July, 1997.
