Some domain name professionals abroad have counted the amount of sales of different suffixes in the last three years. There are: last 3 months, last 12 months and last 3 years. He states that the data was collected on April 17, 2024, so the time period starts on that date.

To focus on retail sales, only sales of $1,000 or more were included. Sales from all venues were included, so there will be some high value wholesale acquisitions in the data.

To easily visualize sales rates, I adjusted all data to the corresponding dollar sales over the course of a year.

Is .NET on the rise?

Here are the numbers for . Dollar volume has increased compared to the previous year and the previous three years, but the increase has been fairly modest. Net sales for the most recent three months are up 11.6% compared to the same three-year period and 20.5% compared to the most recent year.

NameBio data shows that .io has indeed been strong over the last 3 months, both compared to the previous 12 months and the last 3 years. Over the last 3 months, .io sales (sales of $1,000 and above) are up 32.8% compared to the same 3-year period and 40.4% compared to the last 12 months.
