Remember the news of the super premium word domain Chat.com deal that was broken in March 2023? This caused the domain industry around the world to gather around back then! At that time, it was revealed that it was sold for 8-figure US dollars, and the exact amount was not known. And just recently, foreign media broke the news that it has been confirmed that Chat.com was sold for $15.5 million. The following is part of the domain name industry media report:

"This time last year, Hilco Digital Assets Managing Director Andrew Miller and fellow pioneer domain broker Larry Fischer were busy helping Hubspot co-founder and CTO Dharmesh Shah spend millions of dollars to acquire the ultra-premium domain name Chat.com. Andrew and Larry represented the seller, but Andrew also acted as the facilitator who brought the two parties together - a role he often plays thanks to the extraordinary list of high-level contacts he's built up over the past two decades.
The exact price of an eight-figure domain sale is rarely released to the public, and until a few days ago, it seemed unlikely that we'd know what Chat.com would sell for in the spring of 2023. However, as Andrew points out in his article Dharmesh on the LinkedIn feed revealed in an interview on the Lenny Rachitsky podcast that he has paid "over $15 million" for Chat.com. Since then, there's been a lot of speculation about what that + represents (and we're among them, because having an accurate price would allow us to chart sales and provide the public with another great example of how valuable top-level domains are).

Andrew Miller and Larry Fischer were in Austin, Texas at NamesCon
Global 2023 and spoke about some of the major deals they've done together, including Chat.com and Home.com.
I've been in touch with Andrew every day this week as we work on a profile about him that will be our next cover story (due out at the end of this month). This gave me the opportunity to discuss the sale of Chat.com with him and see if he could confirm the exact price to me in any way. He has always strictly adhered to any existing non-disclosure agreements, but with Dharmesh opening the door, Andrew was able to share in the net price of $15.5 million for the domain, including escrow and related fees."
